It all started when Leanne thought taking a weekend workshop on massage would be fun, that’s when she came across Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy and what she discovered changed everything…anatomy, physiology, pathology…oh my! Leanne had been a Library Technician in an elementary school library for most of her adult life, books were her thing…not science. Then she attended an orientation at the college and was hooked. She discovered that massage therapy is so much more than relaxation, it effects our bodies right down to the cell level, besides relieving pain and realigning muscles, it aids the body in healing itself…so amazing! That was it, she knew she had to do this, she was meant to do this!

Leanne McLean is a registered member in good standing with MTAM-Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba; recognized as a Registered Massage Therapist in the province of Manitoba with a 2 year Diploma in Advanced Remedial Massage Therapy through Wellington College with over 2200 hours prior to graduation.

What led her down this path wasn’t just the benefits that massage therapy has on a healthy body but the possibilities of what it can do for the body that isn’t. Leanne continued her education to specialize in Oncology Massage, Pediatric Massage and Pediatric Oncology Massage, through Tracy Walton & Associates and Liddle Kidz Foundation. She has also further training in Myofascial Integration, Lymphatic Integration, Palliative Massage, Breast Massage, Sports Massage and Basic Manual Lymphatic Drainage and continues to add to her RMT toolbox.

Before becoming an RMT, Leanne was a Library Technician for almost 19 years. She worked in the Child Life Department at Winnipeg Children’s Hospital Family and Information Libraries, various elementary schools, as well as assisted in the development of The Indigenous Education Resource Centre, in Pembina Trails School Division.

While attending Wellington College, Leanne practiced at Academy Massage, then at Roblin Family Chiropractic where she continued to work following graduation in June of 2017. After completing her oncology training she began to also practice at The Unexpected Gift, a store that provides support for people living with cancer. Leanne also operates a private practice, True Care Massage Therapy, which provides massage for those living with cancer and their caregivers. Leanne has recently joined the Kramp Chiropractic team and looks forward to providing therapeutic massage therapy to this amazing community.
