Happy New Year from Kramp Chiropractic! This has been quite the ride over the last 12 months. I’m happy to say for everyone reading this that we have survived it. We are resilient and adaptable. Although we are not entirely sure of what’s to come this year we can safely say that 2020 prepared us to endure hardships. While we may feel that life is in somewhat of an uncertain spiral, this is the perfect time to take control of our lives. We may not have all of the freedoms of social gatherings and such; however, we do have the undeniable right to control our health. We may have added a few extra pounds, we may have fallen into stress eating or drinking, we may have let life get the better of us. But it doesn’t need to be this way. This is the time to refocus and take control.

What Can You Do?

You can build a workout regime at home. Body weight exercises are all that’s needed. You don’t need any fancy and expensive equipment. The most important part of exercise is just moving your body! If you’re struggling to develop a workout plan I have a couple of fantastic personal trainers that I can refer you to that are willing to remotely build that for you!

You can focus on only putting healthy foods into your body. The fast food, the pre-made meals, the sugar foods, the fried foods; these are all things that need to be minimized. Focus on creating a meal plan each week. Go grocery shopping and get all the ingredients you need to make healthy meals. When you feed your body exactly what it needs then your body has a greater chance to express and achieve health!

You can focus on positive thoughts. Reduce your bodies stress response through focusing on the positive in life. It’s easier said than done, however, if you truly want to lead a healthy life you need to have a positive mindset. Develop a WIN attitude…. “What’s Important Now”! Don’t focus on what is to come or what has happened. Those are out of your control. Have present time consciousness and focus on the here and now and focus on the positives in your life and be grateful. This sometimes becomes difficult to manage and if you’re struggling to achieve present time consciousness I highly suggest beginning a daily meditation ritual. This is the year for you to take control of the parts of your life that you’ve lost control over. Taking control will begin the process of regaining and maintaining mental sanity. I know, I for one, have struggled this last year to make sense of, and find my place, in this chaos. I found the best way to do that was to focus on me. This is your year to focus on YOU!
