Did someone say Happy Hour?!?! It’s that time of year, where we gather more with friends and family, create memories and laugh until our cheeks hurt! We often like to indulge a little more while on summer vacation and with camping or being at the cabin on a regular basis. Those “Happy Hour” gatherings are meant to bring people together, over some snacks and refreshments. It doesn’t always have to revolve around alcohol. I don’t want you to forget about your health goals and perhaps your family and friends who are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, remember, we often have little ones watching us and role modeling healthy habits sets them up for success. With this in mind here are some great examples of delicious “Happy Hour” drinks without the alcohol so everyone can be included and indulge!
Our family tried this amazing mocktail for our friends gathering celebrating a pregnancy:
Grapefruit and Rosemary Mocktail
INGREDIENTS
Rosemary Simple Syrup

1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar
-
3 sprigs of rosemary
Mocktail per 4 glasses

2 cups fresh pink grapefruit juice
-
1/4 cup of the rosemary simple syrup
-
4 cups sparkling water
