Recipe adapted from: http://www.mc2creativeliving.com/balsamic-glazed-chicken-wings

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 30 pieces of chicken wings (15 wings cut at the joint and tips removed)

  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar

  • 1/4 cup of low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos

  • Juice and zest of one lime

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

  • 1 tsp of Sriracha sauce (optional)

  • 3 cloves of garlic (minced)

Instructions:

1. Place the chicken wings in a large Ziplock bag.

2. In bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.

3. Pour the marinade in the bag and marinate the wings in the fridge for 3 hours.

4. Cook the wings in a preheated oven at 400F for 35 minutes.

5. Reserve the marinade and transfer to a sauce pan to make the glaze.

6. Boil the marinade for at least 10 minutes. Let the marinade reduce until it thickens and coats the back of a wooden spoon.

7. Remove the wings from the oven, brush the glaze on the wings and return them to the oven for another 5 minutes.
